Ars Militaria group header/logo|Purple/turquoise

Along with my other two passions in the field of music and design ( Progressive rock and Modern design language ) another reason for me being here on dA is the one that concerns the art of military illustrations. Military art is a term describing works of art on military themes. The genre of military art is characterized by its subject matter rather than by any specific style or material used. The battle scene is one of the oldest types of art in developed civilizations, as rulers have always been keen to celebrate their victories and intimidate potential opponents.

While there are others more or less on the same theme I could withstand not to set a group to meet my own standards and whicht I could administrate and promote like only I do. I was a bit in doubt since its the last group I can create as a  regular member but I have no regrets and Im positive this will surpass my other two - MetroFoundry and ProgGroup in all the aspects.

As for this simple and clean header  done for our group identity sake, it does correspond to a stylized crested/ridged ancient hellenic helmet transformed from “Alfa” letter from Greek alphabet.
The font is a open source one (Walkway Black) with the tracking slightly increased.

The tag line is a nice suggestion I decided to keep it for now coming from theubbergeek2 but we are still opened for other fancier ideas
